Balmain's Main Man...Leaving?

Christopher Decarnin, one of YEOJ's favorite designers is ending his 6 year stay with the design house label. The only reason released is that it is just "the end of the collaboration." This is a shock because he has made the brand so fabulous these past years. Critics have made remarks about this haute rock n' roll brand as borderline trashy with all of the glitz and glamour. According to YEOJ the critics are tasteless...YEOJ is a  critic and YEOJ loves it and Christopher. There hasn't been a replacement made for Balmain but we at YEOJ hope it is someone with the talent as the magnificent Mr. Decarnin.

OLSEN Textile Launch

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen just launched their textile line this past week for Elizabeth and James. There was a The Beverly Hills Hotel party in Los Angeles the other night and they said the line is going to be a "more casual, lifestyle version" of their other brand The Row. These girls are certainly not taking any breaks in the fashion industry any time soon. They are CFDA nominees for womenswear of the year award. There is no slowing down for these two major fashion forces. YEOJ is excited to see the rise and rise of their creativity.
