The 1970's are officially back in action and who other than to fully exude this trend than the great Diane Von Furstenburg. She successfully made the trend look chic from head to toe without taking the trend too literal and it is easy to make a decade such as the 70's look like a costume show but yet again she knocked it out at NYFW. to Turban or Not to Turban?

Cold Weather is NOT an excuse to dress like a frumpy eskimo and wear a hood while walking down the street. A great alternative to wearing a hood is a simple ski hat that you can get at a variety of retailers or if you want to adorn yourself in the latest trend the turban. The turban has been a middle eastern culture headpiece for centuries and has been introduced into main stream street style since the high-fashion world designers produced them into their runway shows. If you prefer a more suttle look and do not want the full-on turban look you can simply wear the "Tur-band." This is just like a head band, only thicker to cover the ears from the bitter cold weather and the front has the turban effect consisting of the knot and gather of the material. Cotton or Velvet are very chic fabrics to look out for while shopping for a turban or turband.
